Scott Battaglia is a software developer/architect for Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. He holds a B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science from Rutgers. A former Computer Science Ph.D. student (before he got smart), he is now working on his M.B.A. / M.P.H. (Health Systems and Policy) from Rutgers University and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He’s hoping to conduct research into outdoor air quality and its affect on distance runners or e-waste.
Scott is currently the lead architect on JASIG Central Authentication Service, a leading single sign on server. He also actively contributes to the Inspektr auditing/logging library, Spring Security, and the JASIG CAS Client for Java. He used to contribute to uPortal, but doesn’t really do that too much any more.
Scott has run five marathons including the New Jersey Marathon, Philadelphia Marathon, Baltimore Marathon, Delaware Marathon, and Marine Corps Marathon. He’s looking at running many more!
He also holds a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
